About us

Cotswold Friends is a charity that helps and supports older and vulnerable people.

We run a number of services in the North Cotswolds and have expanded our transport service into Cirencester.

We aim to combat loneliness and isolation. Our voluntary services improve health and wellbeing and support independent living.

If you would like to volunteer or use any of the services, please contact us on 01608 651415.

Our story

At Cotswold Friends, we were proud to celebrate our 40th birthday during 2018.

The organisation began as the Voluntary Help Centre in 1978 and was originally set up with the aim of recruiting and deploying volunteers.

The charity soon began to grow and today provides seven key services to the Cotswolds Community: Community Transport, Befriending, Carer Support, Hospital Support, Independence Support, Community Activities and Intergenerational Projects.

With over 350 volunteer roles, our services benefit over 2,000 older and vulnerable people.
