New Men in Sheds project in Chipping Campden

Cotswold Friends is delighted to be working in partnership with Campden Home Nursing to bring a new Men in Sheds project to Chipping Campden. Based at Jecca’s House, the shed (or double garage in this case!) will be a fantastic local facility for men (and ladies) to meet up, chat and get involved in a bit of DIY and some community projects. The first meeting is planned for Tuesday 7th September 2021 from 10.30am til 12.30pm, with the aim to open the shed two mornings a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays – so all new members are very welcome!

We are now looking for volunteer Shed Leaders to help support the project. The Shed Leader role involves helping to ensure the smooth running of the shed including opening up, helping members to get going on various projects and most importantly, the support and motivation of those that attend. Shed Leaders take responsibility for Health & Safety and Fire Safety procedures, but full training will be given and no previous experience is needed. This could be a great opportunity for anyone looking for experience of running a project within the caring profession.

If you would like to find out more about the new shed, or the Shed Leader role, please do contact Rob Platts for an informal chat on Tel: 01608 698557 or email: sheds@cotswoldfriends.org. We look forward to hearing from you!
