Coronavirus Update: Could you volunteer to help with shopping and medication deliveries, telephone befriending, or vital drives for our clients? We are looking for more volunteers to help support the Community at this difficult time. Please do get in touch with our Volunteer Manager George Halling if you might be able to help. Tel: 01608 697007.

Whether you have volunteered for charity work before, or are new to the voluntary sector, Cotswold Friends has the right role for you. With four different services operating across the North Cotswolds we have a wide variety of volunteering options.

Our services run throughout the year, so we can always find a volunteering time to suit you.

Your time commitment can be as much or as little as you can offer or you could provide occasional support, such as holiday cover for regular volunteers. You just need to be committed to the level of support you have offered, so we know that we can rely on you. If you would like to drive, befriend, support full-time carers with respite, help at lunch clubs or set up a new social group, just let us know.

Volunteering is enjoyable and rewarding. Some of our volunteers join us because they want to meet people, some want to use the skills they have acquired during a lifetime of work and life experience. Others want to learn new skills, perhaps to help them with future employment.

All of our volunteers want to be part of something that provides a valuable community service.

As we are supporting vulnerable people in our community, all our volunteers complete an application process. Click here to find out more.

At Cotswold Friends, our volunteers are the heart of our services and we do everything we can to support them. As well as regular contact with Service Managers we offer regular training courses, quarterly volunteer events, an up to date website, newsletters and social media to make sure we stay in touch and give volunteers more opportunities to make contact with each other.

With over 350 volunteers supporting our services, and over 2,000 people using our services, we are a growing community of friends and we encourage you to join us. Cotswold Friends achieved Investing in Volunteers Accreditation in January 2020 as we continue to do everything we can to make our volunteering as safe, rewarding and enjoyable as possible.

Cotswold Friends also has a Volunteer Steering Group. Members are volunteers who represent each of the Charity’s services and give feedback and guidance to the Charity’s management team including the CEO and Volunteer Manager. Membership changes annually and any volunteer, who has volunteered for six months or more, can apply to be a member by informing their Service Manager, or the Volunteer Manager, that they are interested in the role. The group (usually) meets three times a year in the Moreton office. If you volunteer with us and would like to feedback to the group, please send an email to [email protected] with the title line Volunteer Steering Group and your comments will be forwarded. Alternatively, you can Tel: 01608 697007. Here are the terms of reference for the group: CF Volunteer Steering Group Terms of Reference v1 August 2020
