Given the frankly dire weather we were all experiencing back in the springtime, we didn’t exactly have high hopes for our spring coffee morning. However the crossed fingers of all the staff must have had the desired effect as the sun came out on cue and treated us to a glorious spring morning at Upper Farm Barn in Clapton on-the-Hill.
The clear skies allowed us all to make the most of the outdoor seating and the views from the sunny terrace were nothing short of spectacular. We were delighted as always to see so many of our volunteers and Carer Respite and Befriending clients able to come and join us. We had beautiful spring flowers dotted all around the barn and an impressive supply of delicious homemade cakes (thanks to you all) to treat ourselves. Add to the mix some lovely raffle prizes, (thanks to you all again), cheery conversation, plus the chance to catch up with old friends and make some new ones and the whole event was a great success.
