Warming soup and cheery chat at our Spring Event

We were delighted to see so many Volunteers and Carer Respite & Befriending clients at our Spring Event, with over 70 people attending. The event was held at the beautiful Redesdale Hall in Moreton and the room looked lovely with pretty spring flowers on the tables. Well done to our staff Bridget and Sam who cooked up the delicious soups, with Cauliflower & Cheese, Tomato & Basil and Butternut Squash & Vegetable on the menu. Our thanks go to Aldi for providing all of the ingredients for the soups as well as the bread rolls and tea and coffee supplies. Our volunteers also outdid themselves, bringing along some fantastic looking cakes so thankyou to everyone who baked on our behalf.

Volunteers Shirley and Georgina, along with volunteer staff from Brio Andrea and Kelda, did a sterling job in keeping the bowls of soup flowing seamlessly out to the tables. We were really proud to be able to use our new Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle ‘Weston’ to help one of our clients attend the event. After the raffle was drawn and all of the homemade cakes were eaten, our Spring Event was over. Looking forward to seeing you all again in the summer!
