Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. From Befriending to Transport, Community Activities to Carer Support, Bookings Desk to Marketing, our volunteers give many hours of their time to help and support their local community. Some are with us for many years with volunteering becoming a hugely important part of their lives. Close friendships often develop with clients and the Cotswold Friends team get to know our volunteers really well. Inevitably, as circumstances change, volunteers may need to stop volunteering and leaving can be a very difficult decision to make. To show our appreciation to long serving volunteers and to make the leaving process less final, we have decided to introduce an Alumni Programme for those volunteers who have been with us for 5 years or more. Alumni Volunteers will continue to receive newsletters and Charity updates as well as invitations to our special events. We are always pleased to see our volunteers so do pop into the offices and catch up with us when circumstances allow.
