All dressed up for a royal appointment!
We were delighted that our Community Transport Bookings Desk volunteer, Sally (left), and Carer Support volunteer Sarah (right), represented Cotswold Friends at the Queen’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in recognition of our Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
They were transported there in style by our Community Transport volunteer, Nick (centre). Don’t they look fabulous?
Cotswold Friends were honoured with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the UK, last year. The charity was recommended for the Queen’s Award by members of the community and then nominated and supported by people who know the organisation well. The Queen’s Award panel receive many deserving nominations and select only those organisations who they believe are truly exceptional.
