Tour de Friends Ride 3 – Tales from the Chedworth Loop
OK – ride three – battery pack in place, plan B post-it note in place – good to go! Headed down an incredibly steep hill on the way out of Rendcomb. Passed the Doctor’s Surgery – one or two of our Community Transport clients use the service to get there.
Stopped off to meet two of our volunteer drivers in the Cirencester area. Please do take a look at our social media to see what they have to say about why this role is so rewarding – helping local people stay connected to the community they live in. One of our drivers told me about a visually impaired lady that she takes every week to a disabled sailing session – fantastic!
We talked about the befriending role that our drivers have – getting to know the people they drive and providing help and support as they reach their destinations and return home. Thank you, lovely ladies – you really are making a difference!
Another highlight was stopping to pick blackberries for a quick snack– need to keep my energy up!
Could you give a pound or two to support our community services across the Cotswolds?
