Access to a 24-hour response line in an emergency situation, you can register either a trusted person who is able to provide care in your absence or they can arrange for a professional care worker to step in.

Once registered you will be issued a Carers Emergency scheme card with a number to call in an emergency and you are unable to carry about your role as a carer. This scheme will ensure that the person you care for is supported either by a relative, friends, or a care agency.
