March News from Cotswold Friends

Spring is in the air, and it has been another busy month here at Cotswold Friends! From staff updates to exciting new projects, our community has been buzzing with activity. Here’s a roundup of what’s been happening in March.

Welcoming Frances & Saying Goodbye to Lindsey This month, we were delighted to welcome Frances Kirk, our new Community Activities Project Worker. Frances brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role, and we’re excited to see the impact she will have on our activities and events. You can read more about Frances and our team here.

At the same time, we said a fond farewell to Lindsey Smith, our wonderful Office Administrator. Lindsey has been a valued member of our team, and while we will miss her dearly, we’re thrilled that she is embarking on a well-earned retirement. She’ll be hitting the open road in her new motorhome, exploring new places and making wonderful memories. We wish her all the best for this exciting new chapter!

Another Successful Pop-Up Shop! Our fantastic volunteers once again ran a successful pop-up shop at our office in Moreton-in-Marsh. These events are a great opportunity to browse unique items while supporting the work we do at Cotswold Friends. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed and attended! Keep an eye out for details of our next pop-up event – we’d love to see you there.

Men in Sheds: New Laser Engravers Exciting news for our Men in Sheds teams! This month, they received brand-new laser engravers, which will open up a world of new possibilities. Not only will these tools enhance the projects they work on, but they will also provide a new fundraising stream, allowing the teams to take on bespoke commissions and create individual items for sale. A fantastic step forward for our sheds!

Digital Workshop & the New Digi Hub Initiative Our Support Services Team hosted a Digital Workshop at our office in Moreton, designed to help our clients tackle digital challenges. Whether it’s setting up a smartphone, learning how to video call loved ones, or understanding online safety, our team was on hand to offer guidance and support. This workshop is part of our new Digi Hub initiative, which we will be sharing more details about soon. Stay tuned for exciting updates! March has been a wonderful month full of change, progress, and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who makes our work possible – from our hardworking staff and volunteers to our clients and supporters. We look forward to sharing more updates with you next month!
