Working Together to Build an Age Friendly Cotswolds

This week marked an important step forward for the Age Friendly Cotswolds initiative, as our Age Friendly team came together with partners from Churn, TAYCT, and Age UK Gloucestershire for one of our first collaborative meetings.

Bringing together organisations from across the county, the session focused on sharing ideas, experiences, and ambitions — all centred around one clear goal: making the Cotswolds an even better place to grow older.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to begin shaping a collective vision for the future. By working in partnership, we can strengthen the support available within our communities, improve accessibility, and help create environments where people can age well, stay connected, and remain active.

This was just the beginning. Conversations like these are key to building a strong foundation, and together we have started to develop a roadmap for how the Age Friendly initiative will grow and evolve.

As the partnership continues to develop, regular meetings will help maintain momentum, encourage collaboration, and ensure that local voices and experiences remain at the heart of our work.

We look forward to continuing this journey together and making a lasting difference for communities across the Cotswolds.
